Design Works

Simplicity is sometimes the most powerful language. Located in Gongse-dong, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, "Daydense" stands simply as a single rectangular mass. Spanning from the basement to the fourth floor, spaces with distinct functions are vertically stacked, finding their own places and quietly coexisting within a single unified structure. The building creates its character through the contrast between its lower and upper levels. The lower floors, which need to actively engage with the street, feature curtain walls that offer a sense of openness, while the upper floors are finished with solid exterior skins to create a focused environment for the interior. This vertical contrast of "openness and closure" serves as the core architectural language composing the building's facade.
